(Feb. 4, 2007) - After surviving a scare from Gardner-Webb on Friday night, the ETSU men's basketball team puts its nine-game winning streak on the line Monday evening inside Memorial Center against Atlantic Sun Conference foe Campbell.

The Buccaneers, who are currently first in the A-Sun regular season standings, enter the game at 17-7 overall, 11-1 in league play. Meanwhile, Campbell remains one of the most improved teams in the league, but has struggled lately, standing at 10-12, 5-7. ETSU currently holds a two-game lead over Belmont and a four-game lead over Lipscomb in the league race.

ETSU dropped the Camels 100-76 in an early January meeting, but the Bucs must be prepared to defend a Campbell team that likes to shoot the basketball. As a team, the Camels are currently the league's top scoring club.

The Bucs are led by the league's second-best individual scorer in sophomore guard Courtney Pigram (Memphis), who is currently averaging 16.8 points per game. Meanwhile, senior forward Brad Nuckles (Council, Va.) continues his quest to reach the 1,000-point plateau, entering the game 90 points shy of that mark with seven games left in the season (one of those games being the guaranteed first round of the tournament).
