JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 22, 2014) – The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics released information Wednesday regarding a new ticket campaign aimed at inspiring local children through the opportunity to attend Buccaneer athletic events.

The “Buccaroo Program” will work to create partnerships between local businesses and area charities that serve young people throughout Tennessee. For as little as $100, businesses can sponsor ticket packages that will be used to provide tickets to area children so they can attend ETSU men’s basketball games throughout the 2014-15 season.

“The idea of this program is to make a positive impact in the life of children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend ETSU athletic events,” said Tyler McCann, ETSU’s Coordinator of Ticket Sales and Fan Experience. “It’s important for kids to be inspired and to dream about the possibilities for their life, and they can see through ETSU’s student-athletes what realizing a dream looks like when it becomes reality.”
