JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 11, 2014) – ETSU men’s and women’s basketball players and coaches met with members of the local media on Tuesday afternoon at Buccaneer Basketball Media Day at Johnson City’s East Coast Wings & Grill location.

A strong media contingent came out to the local restaurant chain to help preview the 2014-15 ETSU basketball season which is set to kickoff this Friday, Nov. 14, for both teams. Players and coaches participated in on-camera interviews with local stations like WJHL, WCYB and WKPT as well as engaged in sit-down interviews with local publications such as the Johnson City Press, among others.

In addition, food, refreshments and accommodations were provided by newly-announced partner of the Buccaneer Sports Network – East Coast Wings & Grill. The event provided an informal way for local media to connect with the student-athletes and coaches as the regular season is set to roll around this week.

The ETSU women will kickoff the regular season on Friday with a trip to Asheville, North Carolina to take on the UNC Asheville Bulldogs. Meanwhile, the men will also start their regular season on Friday with a visit to Valparaiso, Indiana to face the Valparaiso Crusaders. Home openers for both teams will occur next week with the women facing High Point on Monday night at 7 p.m. inside Brooks Gym, while the men will take on Virginia-Wise on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. inside Freedom Hall.
