LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 1, 2022) – ETSU’s Evan Guzman (Franklin, Tenn.) had another successful showing… this time in the Bluegrass State.
Competing among a field of 307 runners, Guzman finished 17th overall with a time of 23:59.3 on Saturday morning at the 2022 Live in Lou Classic, held at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park. Guzman was 101st at the 2.1K split with a time of 6:12, while moving into 80th at the 3.9K split clocking in at 11:43. From there, Guzman passed over 60 runners to move inside the top-20. Once again, Guzman – who was the top runner among Southern Conference athletes in the field – turned in a personal best time on an 8K course.
Myles Stoots (Mobile, Ala.) was the second Buccaneer to cross the finish line as he placed 67th with a personal best time of 24:28.6, while Gavin Cooper (Jacksboro, Tenn.) finished 89th in 24:43. Josh Krafsur (Fort Collins, Colo.) also placed in the top-100 (96th) with a mark of 24:46.0. Cooper and Krafsur also registered personal best times.
As a team, ETSU finished 14th in a field of 31 teams with 392 points.
Grand Valley State swept both the team and individual titles. Tanner Chada won the individual race with a time of 23:18.1, while GVSU took the event with 104 points.

ETSU gears up for its final regular season meet of the season as the Bucs head to North Carolina for the Vert Cross Invitational, which will be held Friday, Oct. 14.
