Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at Bank of Tennessee/The Ridges Tournament

The East Tennessee State men's golf team finished fifth at the third annual Bank of Tennessee/The Ridges Intercollegiate Golf Tournament in Jonesborough, Tenn.

Senior Chris Wisler led ETSU with a second place finish, firing a seven-under 209 (67-73-69) to finish one stroke behind individual medalist Johan Kok of South Carolina.

Kok and the Gamecoocks finished second as a team, after shooting a three-round 854 (280-285-289), three shots behind tournament champion TCU. The Horned Frogs fired a three-round 851 (279-280-292) to capture the title.

Preseason No. 1, Clemson, placed third, followed by Northwestern. The Wildcats were led by preseason individual No. 1, Luke Donald, who finished tied for 11th after carding a two-under 214 (68-76-70).

East Tennessee State came in fifh after shooting a three-round 867 (290-288-289). Following Wisler were James Johnson (74-71-72--217/T-20), Pat Beste (74-71-75--220/T-32), Thomas Lee (76-73-73--222/T-39), Adam Riddering (75-79-77--231/70) and Anders Hofvander (76-75-79--230/T-67). Hofvander played as an individual.
