MACON, Ga. (March 8, 2007) - By posting three consecutive rounds in the 60s at the PING Arizona Intercollegiate last month, ETSU freshman Seamus Power (Waterford, Ireland) was named the February Atlantic Sun Golfer of the Month on Thursday.
Power recorded rounds of 69, 66 and 68 (203) at the PING Arizona Intercollegiate to finish in a second-place tie, and help the 10th-ranked Bucs to a sixth-place finish in the team standings. The Waterford, Ireland, native also competed in the Puerto Rico Collegiate Classic, finishing tied for 24th and helping the Bucs to a fifth place overall finish. His stroke average for the month was 70 after posting three rounds in the 60s at the PING Arizona Intercollegiate and then rounds of 72, 72 and 73 (217) in Puerto Rico.
This is the third GOTM honor for the Bucs this season, as senior Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) earned the award in both October and November. The Atlantic Sun Golfer of the Month is announced on Thursday during the first full week of the month.
