ALPHARETTA, Ga. (March 26, 2008) - For the second time in three days, ETSU senior Cian McNamara (Limerick, Ireland) fired a season low 1-under-par 71, posting his best finish of the season with a tie for 13th after final round play in the U.S. Collegiate Championship Wednesday at the Golf Club of Georgia.

Facing a field that included 10 of the Top 11 teams in the country, McNamara met the challenge with a strong performance. However, the 24th-ranked ETSU men's golf team as a whole was unable to build on a strong first round showing, ultimately firing a 299 during third and final round play to finish 12th out of the 15-team field. USC finished as the team champion, three strokes ahead of Oklahoma State.

Individually, McNamara ended the tournament at 3-over 219, while Oklahoma State's Trent Leon finished at 8-under 208 to win the individual title, one stroke better than teammate Rickie Fowler.

Other ETSU results included a tie for 25th by senior Gareth Shaw (Lisburn, Northern Ireland), while sophomore Seamus Power (Waterford, Ireland) finished tied for 48th, and freshman Rhys Enoch (Cornwall, England) tied for 58th.

The Bucs will return to action April 4-6 in the Administaff/Augusta State Invitational. For updates on ETSU men's golf throughout the spring season, visit ETSUBucs.com.
