JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 24, 2007) - Coming off its first event of the 2007-08 season last week at the Carpet Capital Collegiate, the ETSU men's golf team currently ranks 15th in the nation according to Golfweek/Sagarin computer rankings and 19th in the Golf World/Nike Coaches Poll.

Meanwhile, freshman Rhys Enoch (Cornwall, England) has wasted little time earning some early publicity, finishing fifth at the Carpet Capital thanks to a tournament score of 2-under 214, and debuting in the Golfweek/Sagarin individual rankings at No. 6 in the country. Meanwhile, senior Gareth Shaw (Lisburn, Northern Ireland) currently stands at No. 9 nationally thanks to his 1-under 215 showing and ninth place finish in the same event.
