Bucs stay in 10th after day two of Carpet Capital Collegiate

ROCKY FACE, Ga. (Sept. 12, 2009) - Sophomore Michael Stewart (Troon, Scotland) fired a team-best 2-under-par 70, to lead the ETSU men's golf team during second round play of the Carpet Capital Collegiate at the Farm Golf Club.


            Even with a five shot improvement Saturday, ETSU continues to sit in 10th place, 18 shots off the pace set by in-state rival Chattanooga, who leads the field with a 1-under par 575. Georgia's Russell Henley tops the individual leaderboard with a 6-under 137 (71-66), two shots better than his Bulldog teammate Harris English.


            Along with Stewart, sophomore Devin Komline (Dorset, Vermont) is tied for 25th at 3-over for the tournament (74-73=147), while senior Seamus Power (Waterford, Ireland) sits at 5-over-par with two-day 149. Meanwhile, junior Paul O'Kane (Casteldawson, Northern Ireland), dropped to a tie of 39th, while sophomore Peter Wilson (Locust Valley, N.Y.) round out the scores at 59th.
