Bucs post team GPA of 3.28 in 2013-14

NORMAN, Okla. (July 31, 2014) – The East Tennessee State University men’s golf team was one of 141 programs to receive academic honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), which was released by the organization late Wednesday.

The Bucs posted a team GPA of 3.28 in 2013-14, while six ETSU golfers registered individual GPAs above 3.0.

DePaul (Division I), Ferris State (Division II), Carnegie Mellon (Division III), SCAD Atlanta (NAIA), Dodge City (NJCAA DI) and Walters State (NJCAA DII) were named Academic National Champions for their respective divisions. Dodge City posted the highest overall team GPA for all divisions with a 3.82.

This is the sixth year of the award, and the Bucs have won the award in each of the six years.

To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
