JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2014) -- Leading up to this weekend's Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, the ETSU men‘s golf team will be featured in a "Getting to Know" segment on ETSUBucs.com.

Our first golfer to be featured is junior Gudmundur Kristjansson (Reykjavik, Iceland). Kristjansson, a 2013 Atlantic Sun All-Freshman Team selection, has posted three top-10 finishes in his career with his best showing being a second-place finish at the 2013 Wolfpack Intercollegiate. Prior to coming to ETSU in the fall of 2012, Kristjansson enjoyed a successful junior playing career in his home country of Iceland. In 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009, Kristjansson was the Icelandic Junior Match Play champion, while also earning medalist honors at the 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010 Icelandic Junior Stroke Play Championship. Wednesday marks Kristjansson’s 22nd birthday.
