JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 12, 2014) – During this weekend's Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, the ETSU men‘s golf team will be featured in a "Getting to Know" segment on ETSUBucs.com.

Our next golfer to be featured is freshman Conor Rodrigues (Kingston, Ontario, Canada). Rodigues was ranked one of the top junior golfers in the country and was recruited by University of Central Florida, San Diego, North Florida, Mercer, and Purdue. The five-time Golf MVP put together strong showings this past summer as he won his first AJGA event by defeating Samuel Uhland in a playoff at the AJGA Junior at Tedesco back in July. Rodrigues registered a scoring average of 72.25 last season, finished third at the Stan Trojanowski Northern Junior and was runner-up at the AJGA/CJGA Junior Championship. He’s also a scholar-athlete as he was named to the 2012 HP Scholastic All-American Honor Roll.

Why did you choose ETSU: I came to ETSU because of its amazing facilities, great coach, well-established school and golf program, and great tournament schedule
