BRADENTON, Fla. (May 20, 2015) – The NCAA released first/second round tee times and pairings for next week’s Men’s Golf Championship, which begins Friday, May 29 at Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla.
ETSU’s Gudmundur Kristjansson (Reykjavik, Iceland) is scheduled to tee off at 9 a.m., from the No. 1 tee box in next Friday’s opening round, while the Buccaneer junior goes out at 2:20 p.m., from No. 10 on Saturday.
The NCAA individual champion will be decided following 72 holes of stroke play. After three rounds, the top 40 players plus ties will advance to the final round of competition on Monday, June 1. The final round of stroke play will be televised on the Golf Channel from 4-7 p.m.
Kristjansson, who qualified for the NCAA Championship after finishing sixth at 3-under-par 213 at last weekend’s San Diego Regional, is paired with Colorado’s David Oraee and Troy’s Tolver Dozier.
Kristjansson is the first Buccaneer to appear in the NCAA Championship since 2010 when Rhys Enoch played as an individual.
