CARROLLTON, Texas (Oct. 20, 2020) – The 2020 Fall season has officially ended for the ETSU Men’s Golf team as the Buccaneers concluded play at the Maridoe Collegiate on Tuesday afternoon. The Blue & Gold jumped two spots on the leaderboard to finish in sole possession of 10^th with a score of 62-over-par (926).

ETSU finished the tournament with a final-round score of 6-over-par (294), logging the biggest improvement in the field from round two to round three with a 21-stroke difference.

ETSU veterans Trevor Hulbert (Orlando, Fla.) and Jack Rhea (Jonesborough, Tenn.) paced the team in the final round of the fall event. Hulbert led the charge with a 1-under-par (71) final round, logging three birdies and two bogeys in the process. The Florida native finished tied for 48^th overall with a tournament score of 17-over-par (233). Rhea capped off the event with an even-par (72) final round with four birdies and four bogeys. The Tennessee product turned in a 19-over-par (235) tournament to finish tied for 53^rd.

Overall, the Bucs were led by Shiso Go (Kanagawa, Japan), placing 40^th overall with a tournament score of 14-over-par (230) following a final-round 75 (+3).

Oklahoma State took home the hardware following an even-par (288) final round, leading to a 16-over-par finish through three rounds. Pepperdine (+19) and Oklahoma (+24) rounded out the top three at the Maridoe Collegiate.

Texas Tech’s Kyle Hogan claimed the individual title as the only player under par in the field, finishing at 1-under-par (215) for the tournament. Hogan capped off the event with a 1-over-par (73). Pepperdine’s Dylan Menante and Oklahoma State’s Austin Eckroat finished tied for second at even-par (216) for the event.

The Bucs will now turn their attention and efforts to the Spring 2021 campaign which will be released at a later time.
