ROCK HILL, S.C. (Sept. 22, 2014) - Coming off a pair of home victories over Conference USA opponents, the ETSU men's soccer team will continue its difficult non-conference slate as the Buccaneers visit Big South opponent Winthrop Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m.
GETTING UP TO SPEED
ETSU will be looking to extend its win streak to three matches following a pair of wins last week.
The Bucs (4-2) defeated FIU, 2-1, Tuesday, Sept. 16, with redshirt freshman Cory Sauerwine (Oldsmar, Fla.) scoring the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute. Later in the week, ETSU clinched another victory in the final stretch of the game, as redshirt freshman Jorge De Gyves (Queretora, Mexico) registered a golden-goal game-winner (94') to knock off South Carolina in overtime, 2-1.
Senior co-captain Jeremy Saad (Sydney, Australia) dished out both assists in ETSU's win over South Carolina: one to Emmanuel Wilson (Memphis, Tenn.) and the game-winner to De Gyves.
Redshirt sophomore Joao Ramalho (Monte Santo, Brazil), who ranks 10th in the nation for goals per game (0.83) scored once and also recorded an assist in the Bucs' win versus FIU. Sophomore William Nordenstrom (Linkoping, Sweden) also recorded an assist in the win.

The Eagles (5-2) boast the nation's 12th-ranked scoring offense, averaging 2.29 goals per contest.
Winthrop is paced by junior forward Jordan Stoddart, who has four goals on the season. Three of Stoddart's goals came in last week's matches, earning him Big South Attacking Player of the Week honors.
The Eagles are 2-1 at home this season, while ETSU is 2-1 in road or neutral-site games.
