GREENSBORO, N.C. (Oct. 10, 2014) - The ETSU men's soccer team will continue Southern Conference play as the Bucs hit the road to take on UNC Greensboro Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7:00 p.m.
GETTING UP TO SPEED
The Buccaneers (5-5, 1-2) recorded their first shutout of the season Tuesday, Oct. 7, defeating VMI, 2-0, in Johnson City en route to clinching ETSU's first SoCon victory of the year.
Freshman Fletcher Ekern (Knoxville, Tenn.) and senior Anthony Wojas (Auxerre, France) accounted for ETSU's goals in the win.
Redshirt sophomore Joao Ramalho (Monte Santo, Brazil) is pacing the Bucs' offense, ranking 19th in the nation for goals per game (0.70). Ramalho leads ETSU with 16 points (7G, 2A).
13 other ETSU players have found the scoring column, including sophomore William Nordenstrom (Linkoping, Sweden), who has recorded one goal and two assist on the year.
Senior co-captain Jeremy Saad (Sydney, Australia) leads the Bucs with three assists.

In three SoCon games, the Spartans (1-8-2, 1-1-1) have picked up one win, one loss, and one tie.
Earlier this week, UNC Greensboro suffered a narrow 3-2 setback to league-leading Mercer in Macon, Ga.

Saturday's contest will be the first of two meetings this season between ETSU and UNC Greensboro. The Bucs and Spartans will meet again Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7:00 p.m., in Johnson City.
