JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 13, 2014) - ETSU will continue SoCon play this weekend as the Buccaneers host Furman and Wofford Tuesday, Oct. 14 and Saturday, Oct. 18, respectively. Both matches will begin at 7:00 p.m.
GETTING UP TO SPEED
The Buccaneers (5-6, 1-3) split a pair of road matches last week, recording their first shutout of the season Tuesday, Oct. 7, defeating VMI, 2-0, before suffering a 2-0 setback at UNC Greensboro.
Freshman Fletcher Ekern (Knoxville, Tenn.) and senior Anthony Wojas (Auxerre, France) accounted for ETSU's goals in the win over VMI.
Redshirt sophomore Joao Ramalho (Monte Santo, Brazil) is pacing the Bucs' offense, ranking 20th in the nation for goals per game (0.64). Ramalho leads ETSU with 16 points (7G, 2A).
13 other ETSU players have found the scoring column, including sophomore William Nordenstrom (Linkoping, Sweden), who has recorded one goal and two assist on the year.
Senior co-captain Jeremy Saad (Sydney, Australia) leads the Bucs with three assists.

Furman Paladins

After opening the season with just one loss in their first nine contests, the Paladins (5-3-3, 1-2-1) have suffered two consecutive setbacks, falling to the league's first and second-place teams, Wofford and Mercer, respectively.
Lewis Hawke leads Furman with four goals on the season, three of which have been game winners.
As a team, Furman has recorded seven shutouts, ranking seventh in the nation for shutout percentage (0.64) and 22nd in the nation for goals against average (0.68).
Wofford Terriers

Wofford has won six of its last seven games and features the nation's fourth-ranked scoring offense (2.55).
The Terriers (7-4, 3-1) currently rank second in the SoCon standings behind Mercer.

Matthew Aurednik leads the Terriers with 10 goals on the year, ranking third in the country for goals per game (0.91).
