ETSU headman to join U.S. U-15 Boys’ National Team training camp coaching staff
BRADENTON, Fla. (Dec. 10, 2014) – ETSU head men’s soccer coach Bo Oshoniyi will serve as an assistant coach during next week’s U.S. U-15 Boys’ National Team training camp in Bradenton, Fla.
Oshoniyi will assist longtime coaching colleague and newly-appointed U-15 BNT headman John Hackworth, formerly the manager of the MLS’s Philadelphia Union, as the squad competes in its first camp under Hackworth’s tutelage.
Oshoniyi was one of just three assistants chosen by Hackworth to complete his staff.
“It is great to work with Coach Hackworth again,” Oshoniyi said. “It is always an honor to get called in to work with the future players of our National Team.”
Oshoniyi also served on Hackworth’s staff during the U-17 team’s preparation for the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup, traveling with the squad to several pre-World Cup events, including trips to South Korea and Belgium.
Next week’s camp, which will take place from Dec. 13-20 at IMG Academy, will include 36 players from across the U.S., who will eventually make up the core group that will attempt to qualify for the biennial FIFA U-17 World Cup.
