GREENVILLE, S.C. (Oct. 22, 2021) – Both the ETSU fútbol and football teams look for road wins in Greenville on Saturday as the Buccaneer men’s soccer team takes on Furman Saturday night at 7 p.m. inside Stone Stadium.

  • ETSU eyes back-to-back wins for just the second time this season as the Bucs are coming off a 3-0 road victory at VMI last Saturday, marking their first Southern Conference win of the campaign.
  • The Bucs sit 4-5-3 overall and 1-1-2 in SoCon play.
  • Sophomore Tarik Pannholzer (Flensburg, Germany) scored his team-leading 10th goal of the season last Saturday at VMI, putting him one away of tying the single-season record – held by both Joao Ramalho (2014) and David Geno (2011)
  • Pannholzer’s 22 points are tied for fourth among ETSU single-season leaders and he’s six away of tying the program record, set by David Geno’s 30 in 2012.
  • Pannholzer ranks sixth nationally in total goals, seventh in goals per game (0.83), ninth in points per game (1.83) and 13th in total points (22).
  • Gabriel Ramos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) has recorded at least one point in three straight games ... Ramos scored his first goal of the season in the road loss at Georgia State, while he had assists in the wins over NKU and VMI … Ramos leads the team with six assists … Ramos ranks 23rd nationally in assists per game (0.55).
  • Josh Perryman (Sheffield, England) is one save away from No. 200 for his career … Perryman needs five more to break Jonny Sutherland’s (2015-17) record of 204.

  • Furman enters the weekend at 3-8-1 overall and 2-2-0 in SoCon play.
  • The Paladins are coming off a 3-2 loss to No. 18 Duke Tuesday night at home.
  • Furman has been shut out three times this season and hasn’t blanked an opponent in its first 12 games.
  • The Paladins are being outscored, 23-15, on the season, while Jake Raine leads the club with eight goals.
  • Ben Roberts has started all 12 games in goal for the Paladins, making 61 saves and allowing 1.83 goals per game.

  • Furman leads the all-time series, 8-2-6.
  • The Bucs are searching for their first win in the series since Oct. 23, 2015, when ETSU won 2-0 in Greenville.
  • ETSU has only scored two goals in the last eight meetings with Furman.

ETSU concludes regular season play next Saturday when the Bucs host UNCG at 7 p.m. inside Summers-Taylor Stadium.
