ETSU Kicks off SoCon Play with Victory

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Feb. 28, 2021) – For the first time this season, the ETSU Buccaneers Men’s Tennis walked away victorious following a 4-3 triumph over UNCG in ETSU’s Southern Conference opener. With the win, the Bucs improve to 1-5 overall, while UNCG drops to 0-4 on the year and 0-2 in league action.

ETSU Opens SoCon Play in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Feb. 27, 2021) – It has been two weeks since their last match, but the ETSU Men’s Tennis team is primed and ready for its Southern Conference opener. The Bucs are headed to Greensboro, N.C. to face off against UNCG on Sunday, Feb. 28 in the league opener. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Southern Conference celebrates Founders’ Day

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Feb. 25 is perhaps the most important date in the history of the Southern Conference. On that particular Friday in 1921, the first day of the league’s groundbreaking basketball tournament, representatives from 14 of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s 30 members gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, to establish the Southern Intercollegiate College.

Badra Claims Another Weekly Honor

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Feb. 15, 2021) – For the second time in three weeks, Dimitri Badra (Maracay, Venezuela) has secured another Southern Conference award. Badra claimed the SoCon Men’s Tennis Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Bucs Unable to Halt Skid at Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Feb. 13, 2021) – The ETSU Men’s Tennis squad fell to 14th-ranked Wake Forest on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 7-0 decision in Winston-Salem, N.C. With the loss, ETSU drops to 0-5 on the campaign, including 0-4 against Power Five opponents.

ETSU Falls in Friday Contest at Duke

DURHAM, N.C. (Feb. 12, 2021) – The ETSU Men’s Tennis team dropped its fourth consecutive match to start the season, this time falling in a 5-2 decision at Duke on Friday afternoon. The match was played at Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center in Durham, N.C.

Bucs Geared up for Pair of ACC Matches

DURHAM, N.C. (Feb. 11, 2021) – The ETSU Men’s Tennis squad is heading to the Tar Heel State to square off with a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference foes this weekend. The Bucs will begin their road trip in Durham, N.C. to battle Duke on Friday, Feb. 12 at 3 p.m. ETSU will then turn around to take on No. 14 Wake Forest on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. in Winston-Salem, N.C.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Feb. 7, 2021) – The ETSU Men’s Tennis squad dropped a nail-biting 4-3 match on Sunday to the Tribe of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. With the loss, ETSU drops to 0-3 on the season, having to wait another match for the first victory of the campaign. William & Mary improves to 1-0 after claiming its season opener.

Bucs Aim to Right Ship in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Feb. 6, 2021) – The ETSU Men’s Tennis squad aims to get its first win of the season on Sunday, Feb. 7 as the Bucs travel to Williamsburg, Va. for an 11 a.m. match with the Tribe of William & Mary.
