JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.--Several East Tennessee State tennis players have advanced to the qualifying round of the T. Rowe Price ITA Collegiate Clay Court Championships.

Mami Inoue and Paty Vega of the ETSU womens team advanced to the qualfying rounds of the womens tournament with their wins on Saturday, Sept. 16. Juan Yannuzzi also advanced to the qualifying rounds. Gustavo Gomez of the mens team has already qualified for the main draw.

The qualifying rounds will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 19. Yannuzzi will take on Mississippi States Rene Combette while Marcos Pavlovich will play Pepperdines Charles Exon.

In Tuesdays womens action, Vega will take on Louisiana States Lauren Habbiz and Inoue will play Marylands Emily Marke.

The T. Rowe Price ITA Collegiate Clay Court Championships is the first of the four collegiate grand slams and is held in Baltimore Md.
