KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (February 15, 2007) - The No. 42 ETSU men's tennis team fell to the No. 33 Tennessee Volunteers today, at the Goodfriend Indoor Tennis Center in Knoxville. ETSU falls to 8-3 on the year while Tennessee improves to 4-2.

The Vols jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as they took the doubles point. Alex Ahlgren (Tyreso, Sweden) and Travis Sandlant (Werribee, Australia) fell to the No. 5 ranked duo of Bobby Cameron and Kaden Hensel in the No. 1 position, 8-2 , while Felix Insaurralde (Asuncion, Paraguay) and Lisandro Picardo (Mar del Plata, Argentina) fell to No. 34 ranked team of Adam Hubble and Ben Rogers, 8-4 in the No. 2 position. The Bucs picked up a win in the No. 3 position as Enrique Olivares (Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela) and Sebastian Serrano (Cartagena, Colombia) defeated Davey Sandgren and Kiril Tcherveniachki, 8-5.

The Bucs fought hard as they were able to take matches to three sets in several positions. In the No. 1 position Predrag Burmazovic (Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro) fell to No. 24 Bobby Cameron, 6-4, 7-6. Senior Felix Insaurralde fell to No. 35 Kaden Hensel in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 in the No. 2 position, while Enrique Olivares fell to Davey Sandgren, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 in the No. 3 slot.

In the No. 4 position, Sebastian Serrano picked up the lone point for the Bucs as he defeated Derek Stephens, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1. Junior Lisandro Picardo fell in the No. 5 position to Kiril Tcherveniachki, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0, while Daniel Isaza (Medellin, Colombia) fell to Ben Rogers, 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 6 slot.
