Burmazovic named A-Sun Player of the Week

MACON, Ga. (March 28, 2008) - ETSU senior Predrag Burmazovic (Belgrade, Serbia) continued his unblemished conference singles season last week, and provided the decisive point in the Bucs' battle for first place against Stetson.  On Friday, the conference office honored him with his second career Player of the Week award.  Burmazovic opened his junior season as the first Player of the Week honoree of the 2007 season.

 

The business major defeated Mikkel Muller of FGCU, 6-0, 6-2 on Friday before clinching the victory for the Bucs against No. 59 Stetson by defeating Joey Jones, 6-4, 6-0 on Saturday. The Bucs' victory against then 59th-ranked Stetson catapulted the Bucs to a program-high No. 33 national ranking in addition to putting ETSU in sole possession of first place in the conference.
