The Bucs continued to find success as they wrapped up the day with a 5-0 win over Longwood. Senior Oscar Posada (Valencia, Venezuela) and Ahlgren teamed up to breeze past Mani Barajas-Alexander and Milo Barajas-Alexander, 6-0, 6-1.
No. 49 Olivares defeated David Cardoso in the No. 1 slot, 6-3, 6-2 while Lisandro Picardo (Mar del Plata, Argentina) rolled past Carlos Garcia de Andoain, 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 2 position. Competing in the third position Predrag Burmazovic (Belgrade, Serbia) breezed by Brandon Lindsley, 6-0, 6-3 while Isaza defeated Billy Heird, 7-5, 6-2.
"We had a couple of tough matches this weekend but the guys were up to the challenge. I'm extremely proud of our captains Lisandro and Daniel. They pulled out some tough wins. They were either able to close it out quickly or come back from a deficit," said head coach Yaser Zaatini. "It was a good chance for us to play a little bit deeper on our roster and while there is always room for improvement I'm optimistic about the way we are playing right now."
The Bucs will take on in-state rival No. 24 Tennessee on Sunday, January 27 at 1 p.m.
