Bucs wrap up play at USC Invitational
Sunday, October 14, 2007

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 13, 2007) - The ETSU men's tennis team concluded action at the USC Invitational on Sunday while ETSU's play at the UNF Invitational ended on Saturday.

In the semifinal round of the A-2 bracket, Predrag Burmazovic (Belgrade, Serbia) defeated Sebastian Jacques of Virginia Tech, 6-3, 6-4 before falling to Winthrop's Rodrigo Santos, 6-1, 6-3 in the title match.

Senior Oscar Posada (Valencia, Venezuela) was unable to compete in Sunday's semifinal match against Sandy Franz of USC Upstate due to injury.

"Predrag had a great tournament and it was great to see him back in top form again. He played very well throughout and I'm excited to having him play as well as he did and I'm looking forward to seeing him in the ITA regionals next week. Oscar had a very good tournament as well and unfortunately after all of the great tennis he played yesterday he was just cramping up and we felt it was best that he not chance anything so he withdrew this morning. It was a good tournament for him and he will be ready to go next week for the regionals," said assistant coach Johan Dorfh.

The Bucs will return to action on October 17 as they travel Charlottesville, Va. to compete in the ITA Mideast Regional hosted by the University of Virginia. For all ETSU men's tennis action visit www.ETSUBucs.com.
