ATHENS, Ga. and Elon, N.C. (Sept. 11, 2014) - The ETSU men's and women's tennis teams will begin 2014 fall competition this weekend, with the men's team taking part in the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, Ga., and the women's squad participating in the Elon Fall Invite in Elon, N.C.

Southern Intercollegiate Championships

Coming off the program's eighth consecutive Atlantic Sun Championship title, the ETSU men's tennis team begins fall play at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, Ga, Sept. 12-15.

Last year, the Bucs fared well at the tournament, with ETSU sending two players to singles quarterfinals, and two doubles teams to semifinal rounds.

Most notably, senior Rogerio Ribeiro (Sau Paulo, Brazil) picked up a marquee win over No. 4 ranked Ryan Lipman of Vanderbilt.
