JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 17, 2015) - Throughout the season, members of the ETSU men’s tennis team will be featured in a ‘‘Getting to Know’’ segment on ETSUBucs.com.
The next student-athlete to be profiled is Fernando Amon (Buenos Aires, Argentina).
Amon's teammates came up with the questions. Below are Amon's responses:
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to start an MBA at ETSU.
Why did you start playing tennis?
Because my dad used to play and I wanted to play too.
Who is your favorite athlete?
What is something that not many people know about you?
I am afraid of heights.
Who is the best dancer on the team?
Conner Huertas del Pino
What is a bad habit you have?
I don’t like to wake up early and sometimes I oversleep.
What is your favorite quote?
‘‘Do what you have to do.’’
What is the most adventurous thing you have done?
Deciding to come alone to the U.S. and leaving my family.
If you were not playing tennis what do you think you would be doing?
I like soap operas a lot, so I would have liked to become an actor.
If you were not afraid of doing something, what would you do?
What is your favorite thing to do off the court?
Watch soap operas and drive my car.
Who do you look up to most in life?
My dad and my uncle.
What country do you most want to visit?
If you could have dinner with somebody dead or alive who would it be and why?
Both of my grandfathers, because I didn’t have the chance to meet them
If you could have one thing in the world what would it be?
I would want to form a family and keep my friends forever.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
