JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 2, 2015) – The ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics released information on its summer camps. Below are capsules of each summer camp for the inspiring young athlete looking to maximize their potential and get helpful insight from ETSU coaches and athletes.
Baseball
2015 TONY SKOLE BASEBALL CAMP @ THOMAS STADIUM
June 8-11, 2015
July 13-16, 2015
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Cost: $150 per camper (includes T-Shirt)
Held at Thomas Stadium, “Home of the Bucs” the campers will receive instruction on the basic fundamentals of hitting, base running, defense and proper mental approach to the game by head coach Tony Skole, ETSU assistant coaches and current and former ETSU players. Each camper must provide own glove and bat. Shorts, sweatpants, t-shirts and tennis shoes are adequate attire but baseball pants and cleats (no metal spikes) are recommended.

Men’s Basketball
INDIVIDUAL CAMP
June 15-18
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Cost: $175 per child
The individual skills camp is a 4-day camp for boys entering grades 3-9 and focuses on the fundamentals of the game to improve individual skills.

HIGH SCHOOL ELITE CAMP
August 1
Time: 1 – 5 p.m.
Cost: $40 per player
The high school elite camp is a 1-day camp for boys entering grades 8-12 and consists of challenging drill work and competitive games.

Women’s Basketball
TEAM CAMP
June 11-13, 2015
Cost: Team Fee* -- $150 (includes T-shirt)
Per player fees for camp –
$170 overnight with meals
$110 overnight
$110 commuter with meals
$50 commuter
*Each team is required to have least eight players.
Open to middle school, AAU, JV and Varsity basketball players. The camp staff of ETSU players and coaches will help run skill sessions for campers. Each team is guaranteed eight games. All teams at camp will receive an NCAA Clearinghouse and Eligibility educational session.

Have the best Saturday ever as campers get to meet ETSU Women’s Basketball players and work with ETSU coaches on basic fundamentals. Camp is open to Boys and Girls ages 7-13, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

Football
CARL TORBUSH FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS CAMP

TIME: 6:30 p.m.
Cost: $30 online registration
$35 walkup registration
The camps are offered for football athletes in grades 9-12 who are scheduled for 2016-19 high school graduation. Campers will compete in combine training and instruction, agility training and skill work. Participants are encouraged to bring turf shoes, cleats and helmets. Quarterbacks are permitted to bring their own football.

Men’s Soccer
FULL/HALF DAY CAMPS
June 8-11, 2015
TIME: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Cost: $215 Full Day (includes T-shirt)
$180.50 ETSU Discount (Day Camp)
$135 Half Day
Camp focuses on soccer technique and tactical aspects of the game. Each camper will work on forming good soccer habits and learning new skills.

July 22-25, 2015
Cost: $475 resident
$430 team (individual rate 13 or more)
$375 commuter
The Bo Oshoniyi Soccer Academy at the Summers-Taylor Soccer Complex will provide the serious soccer player an opportunity to improve their present skills and apply their abilities to match situations. Individuals or teams may attend this camp.

Women’s Soccer
ELITE & TEAM RESIDENTIAL CAMP
July 19-22, 2015

Cost: $400 team resident (min. 12 players)
$375 team resident (min. 20 players)

Under the watchful eye of ETSU Women’s head coach Adam Sayers along with ETSU assistant coaches and other collegiate coaches’ campers will improve their technical ability and tactical understanding of the game via fun and challenging team sessions.

Softball
SUMMER SKILLS CAMP
July 6-8, 2015
TIME: 9 am – 12 pm (ages 6-12)
1 pm – 4 pm (ages 13-18)
Cost: $150 for 3 days
$110 for 2 days
$50 for 1 day of Pitchers & Catchers
Located at Betty Basler Field, on the campus of ETSU, campers will focus on basic fundamentals such as hitting, pitching, catching, throwing, defense, conditioning and base running. The camp features ETSU head coach Brad Irwin, the ETSU coaching staff, ETSU players and guest instructors. All campers need to bring tennis shoes, cleats, water bottle and all softball equipment. Pitches need to provide their own catchers.

Men’s and Women’s Tennis
SESSION I SKILLS CAMP
June 14-18, 2015
TIME: 9 am – 4 pm (Full Day)
9 am – 12 pm (Half Day)
Cost: $625 overnight per week
$555 commuter per week
$450 full day per week
$275 half day per week
Boys and Girls ages 8-18 will be led by Director of ETSU Tennis Yaser Zaatini as campers will receive instruction on the fundamentals and enhance their skills through repetition, ball-feeding drills and live-ball situations.

Volleyball
NIGHT CAMP
June 16-17, 2015
TIME: 6-9 p.m.
Cost: $100
Open to all campers ages 10-18 and to girls of all skill levels from beginner to advanced. This camp is designed for those players looking to maximize their volleyball potential and improve their technique and tactical knowledge at a particular position. Current ETSU volleyball players and coaches will lead campers, as they go through challenging and rigorous drills with excellent competition and instruction.
INDIVIDUAL CAMP
July 17-19, 2015
Cost: $275 overnight
$250 commuter
Open to all campers ages 10-18 whose skill level ranges from beginner to advanced. The weekend gives the campers an inside look at the demanding workouts of collegiate volleyball, while being instructed by ETSU coaches and players.
