MACON, Ga. (April 19, 2019) – The ETSU Men’s Tennis team will have to wait another day to fight for a spot in the Southern Conference Championship as weather swept across the Southeast today, suspending play. The Bucs were set to face Wofford in the semifinal match at 2 p.m., but saw that time continue to be pushed back as the John Drew Smith Tennis Center fought to stay dry.
The two squads began doubles play but could not continue any further as the rain made its way into Macon. The match will resume at 10 a.m. with a spot for the finals on the line. The championship match will also take place tomorrow at approximately 3 p.m., falling after the women’s tennis finals match at 1 p.m.
