LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 10, 2019) – The ETSU Buccaneers Men’s Tennis team will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Louisville, Ky. for the 2019 Louisville Invitational. The Bucs will be traveling six of the seven members on the roster, with Frazier Rengifo (Cali, Colombia) being the lone Buccaneer not making the trip.
ETSU is one of 16 teams competing in the tournament, alongside Southern Conference foe, Chattanooga. Some of the big names featured in the field include, host Louisville, Kentucky, Lipscomb and Toledo. The tournament will run from Friday, Oct. 11 – Sunday, Oct. 13 and will be played at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
This will be the fourth tournament of the fall for the Blue & Gold, while marking the first tournament of the season for Dylan Bednarczyk (Ontario, Canada) and Juan Lugo (Maracay, Venezuela). Returning to the court for the first time since the opening weekend will be Dimitri Badra (Maracay, Venezuela), Miguel Este (Caracas, Venezuela) and Chris Mikrovas (Athens, Greece). The final Buccaneer that will take part in the Louisville Invitational is Yusuf Khamis (Cairo, Egypt).
