Bucs head to Louisville for the weekend  

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 12, 2022) – The ETSU men’s tennis team will take part in the 2022 ITA Ohio Valley Regionals Championship in Louisville, Ky., marking the second competition of the 2022-23 season for the Bucs. The tournament will be played at both Louisville’s Bass-Rudd Tennis Center and Bellarmine’s Eddie-Weber Tennis Complex beginning on Thursday and concluding on Monday.

There will be eight Bucs that will participate in the competition:

• Dimitri Badra (Maracay, Venezuela)
• Pedro Cressoni (Sao Paulo, Brazil)
• Peter Kalocsai (Hungray)
• Francisco Lamas (Maracay, Venezuela)
• Juan Lombisano (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
• Adam Nagoudi (Tunis, Tunisia)
• Thiago Pernas (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
• James Sim (New Zealand)

The first round of doubles will begin on Thursday at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. The first round of singles will begin at 11 a.m. and continue through 3 p.m. The second round of doubles will continue on Friday morning at 9 a.m. The day will continue with the second round of singles at 10 a.m. and go through 1 p.m. The third round will begin at 2:30 p.m. and continue through 4 p.m.

On Saturday morning, the third round of doubles will start the day at 9 a.m. and the quarterfinals will follow right after at 10:30 a.m. The fourth round of singles will begin at 12 p.m. On Sunday morning, the semifinals for doubles will get the day going at 9 a.m. The singles will finish the day with the quarterfinals at 10:30 a.m., followed by the semi-finals at 2 p.m.

The tournament will conclude on Monday with the doubles finals starting at 10 a.m. and the singles finals starting at 11:30 a.m.

There will be 23 teams competing in the tournament with fellow SoCon mate Chattanooga joining ETSU from the conference.
