Men’s tennis set to compete in Virginia Tech’s Halloween Clash

Bucs make the trip to Blacksburg for weekend competition  

BLACKSBURG, Va. (Oct. 27, 2022) – The ETSU men’s tennis team will travel to Blacksburg, Va. over the weekend to compete in the Virginia Tech Halloween Clash. The competition will begin on Friday and runs through Sunday. Held in the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center, the Bucs look to gain momentum heading into the final fall competitions.

ETSU head coach Martin Stiegwardt will send five Bucs to represent ETSU in the Halloween Clash.

  • Pedro Cressoni (Sao Paulo, Brazil)
  • Peter Kalocsai (Hungary)
  • Francisco Lamas (Maracay, Venezuela)
  • James Sim (New Zealand)

The Bucs are coming off playing in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships from Oct. 13 through Oct. 17, where two different Bucs made an appearance in the quarterfinal of the competition. Three different ETSU doubles teams recorded a first-round win.
