JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 13, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team will commence its 2023 campaign on Saturday when they take on Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss. at 11 a.m. The Bucs will spend the weekend in Starkville as they face off against South Alabama on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

After a conference title in the 2022 season, the Bucs will look to make it five straight years they finish as conference champions. Under head coach Martin Stiegwardt, ETSU has also won the regular season championship each of those years as well. 

One of the five Bucs returning for ETSU is reigning two-time SoCon Player of the Year Dimitri Badra (Maracay, Venezuela). ETSU has added four new faces to the roster for the 2023 season.

The Bucs competed in four competitions during the fall season, in which all players saw action throughout the semester. The Bucs finished 20-7 a season ago, going 7-0 in conference play.
