Bucs suffer 4-3 loss to ACU and 6-1 defeat to Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 28, 2023) – Over the weekend, the ETSU men’s tennis program took on Abilene Christian University in a back-and-forth match that finished 3-4 on Friday and 6-1 contest on Saturday evening.

On Friday afternoon, the trio of Pedro Cressoni (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Juan Lombisano (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Lucas Britez (Paraguay) each earned the Bucs a point after winning their single competitions.

In doubles matches, the duo of Cressoni/Francisco Lamas (Maracay, Venezuela) won their match 6-4 agaisnt Savan Chhabra/Ethan Scribner from ACU, despite not earning the doubles point.

On Saturday evening, Dimitri Badra (Maracay, Venezuela) earned a topflight victory over Nick Vroman from Air Force after dropping the first set 3-6 and winning the next two in closely contested 6-4 finishes.

Both Cressoni and Thiago Pernas (Buenos Aires, Argentina) extended their singles matches to three sets, ultimately failing to earn a point.
