Bucs face third Power 5 program of the year  

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Feb. 2, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team will travel for the fourth consecutive week as they take on Arkansas in Fayetteville at 5 p.m. on Friday evening. Coming off a weekend with two matches, the Bucs will look to earn their first win of the campaign this week.

ABOUT THE BUCS

  • ETSU is 0-5 on the young season.
  • The Bucs will play their sixth of eight straight road matches to open the season.
  • The duo of Thiago Pernas (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Peter Kalocsai (Hungary) are currently 3-0 as a doubles team to open the season.
  • The Bucs had their closest match last weekend in a 4-3 neutral site loss to Abilene Christiaan University in Colorado Springs.
  • ETSU will face its third of five Power 5 programs of the season, following matches against Mississippi State and Clemson.

ABOUT THE RAZORBACKS

  • Arkansas enters the matchup with a 6-1 overall record and are 3-0 at home.
  • In six of their seven matches, the Razorbacks have earned the doubles point.
  • The only loss of the season came last weekend against Northwestern in a 4-0 match.
  • In the most recent ITA rankings, the partnership of Adrien Burdet and Alan Sau are ranked No. 60
