Bucs lose in straight sets

DURHAM, N.C. (Feb. 9, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team battled Duke on Friday night, ending in a 7-0 loss for the Bucs in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.

Although the Bucs didn’t earn a point, Duke had two ITA ranked players. Both players are ranked in the top 100.

Andrew Zhang (DU) def. Pedro Cressoni (ETSU) 6-3, 6-2

#88 Pedro Rodenas (DU) def. Adam Nagoudi (ETSU) 6-2, 6-1

Connor Krug (DU) def. Francisco Lamas (ETSU) 6-4, 6-4

Andrew Dale (DU) def. Lucas Britez (ETSU) 6-4, 6-2

Michael Heller (DU) def. James Sim (ETSU) 6-0, 6-2

The Bucs will play the last of eight straight on the road when they take on Alabama next Friday, Feb 17 at 4 p.m. in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
