Bucs take on Alabama before three straight at home

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (Feb. 15, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team hits the road for the eighth consecutive match as they take on Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Friday at 4 p.m. Facing back-to-back Power 5 opponents, the Bucs look to erase a seven-game skid.

  • ETSU enters the matchup with an 0-7 record, playing all seven matches on the road.
  • Three of the six losses came against Power 5 opponents.
  • The Bucs have a total of six singles wins and four doubles wins.
  • The doubles pair of Peter Kalocsai (Hungary) and Thiago Pernas (Buenos Aires, Argentina) are 2-1 in all finished competitions.


  • Alabama enters the match with a 6-1 overall record and are 6-1 at home.
  • The Crimson Tide have one ranked loss, first to No. 19 Columbia.
  • As a team, Alabama is 73-44 in singles and 30-19 in doubles.
  • Freshman Roan Jones has an 16-4 overall record.
