Bucs host the Bulldogs on Wednesday, Tennessee Tech on Sunday

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 28, 2023) – Due to weather forecasts, the ETSU men’s tennis team has rescheduled their matchup against UNC Asheville for Wednesday, March 1 at 3 p.m., which was originally scheduled for Thursday.

The Bucs will close out their four-match home stand with a matchup against Tennessee Tech on Sunday, March 2 at 1 p.m.

ABOUT THE BUCS

• The Bucs own a 2-8 record, winning the previous two over the past weekend.
• Dimitri Badra (Maracay, Venezuela) earned SoCon Player of the Week after finishing a perfect 4-0 over the weekend.
• Thiago Pernas (Buenos Aires, Argentina) is currently on a four-match win streak, helping the Bucs to 2-0 record last weekend.
• The Bucs will close out their four-match home stand on Sunday before hitting the road for their next three matches.

ABOUT UNC ASHEVILLE 

• UNC Asheville enters the weekend with a 5-3 record.
• The Bulldogs are 1-2 away from home and are 4-1 when playing in Asheville.
• UNC defeated Wofford, 4-3, the last time out on Thursday, Feb. 23.

ABOUT TENNESSE TECH

• Tennessee Tech enters the weekend 0-8, with a matchup with Kennesaw State on Friday afternoon.
• The Golden Eagles are yet to play a home match, playing all eight matches away from home.
• Tennessee Tech has matched up with four Power-5 programs to start the year.
