Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State track & field teams will continue its spring schedule this Saturday, March 17, by taking part in the Western Carolina Invitational held in Cullowhee, N.C.
Junior Roseline Addo and senior Evan Hawkins who have highlighted the spring season for the Buccaneers will look to continue their run of success. "Western Carolina will look to be our biggest competition because of their depth. This is a home meet for them and they will be fully prepared. I am looking for some personal best performances that will hopefully carry our team throughout the rest of the outdoor season," said assistant coach Matt High.
Addo, Hawkins and Jennifer Howard will all compete in the 800 meters. Jason Farr will look for a high finish in the high jump.
This weekend's field includes host Western Carolina and Southern Conference members Wofford, Furman and The Citadel. UNC Asheville, UNC Pembroke, Mars Hill, Brevard and Bluffton College round out the field.
The Buccaneers will return to the track to take part in the Clemson Relays next weekend in Clemson, S.C.
