NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 23, 2005) - The East Tennessee State track and field team competed at the Vanderbilt Invitational on Saturday. The meet gave the Bucs a final opportunity to prepare for the SoCon Outdoor Championships which will be held next weekend beginning on Saturday, April 30 until Sunday, May 1 at Cullowhee, N.C.
On the women's side, Jennifer Habbestad (Tampa, Fla.) had a strong performance in the women's 800 meters finishing fourth with a time of 2:16.81, while Anna Marie Ricciardi (Canfield, Ohio) had a solid performance in the high jump winning the event with a mark of 1.63m.
Shane Estes (Maryville, Tenn.) and Jeremy Snoderly represented the Bucs in the men's high jump. Estes placed sixth with his mark of 1.93m and Snoderly finished 13th with a mark of 1.83m.
