ATLANTA, Ga. (May 13, 2006) - Juniors Anna Marie Ricciardi (Canfield, Ohio) and Daniel Williams (Knoxville, Tenn.) represented the ETSU track and field teams on Saturday, competing against talented fields at the Georgia Tech Invitational at George C. Griffin Track.
Ricciardi finished in a three-way tie for second place in the high jump, clearing 5-7 (1.70m). North Carolina's Sheena Gordon won the event, with an NCAA Regional Qualifying effort of 6-0 (1.83m).
Williams placed ninth in the pole vault, eclipsing the bar at 15-1 (4.60m). Brian Mondschein of Virginia Tech took top honors in the competition, clearing 17-0.75 (5.20m).
The Bucs will train through next weekend, with the NCAA Mid-East Regional Championships slated for May 26-27, in Knoxville, Tenn.
