JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 29, 2007) - The ETSU men's and women's track and field team put together solid performances Thursday afternoon at the Milligan Relays, as they won eight events and the men took home top team honors at the Liberty Bell Track Complex.
As a team the men claimed first place with 94 points, while Virginia Intermont (87 points) and Carson-Newman (59 points) rounded out the top three.
Freshman Jarrod Burton (Tazewell, Va.) continued his path of rewriting the ETSU record books by breaking Curtis Eason's nine-year old shot put record of 50-6 (15.39m).

The ETSU women finished second as a team with 82 points, and like the men they also had four athletes claim titles in their respective events.
