WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Jan. 29, 2015) – After a solid showing last weekend at the Hokie Invitational on the Virginia Tech campus, the ETSU track & field program is set to get back into competition this Friday and Saturday at the Hilton Garden Innvitational inside the JDL Fast Track Indoor Track & Field Facility.

Action will begin on Friday at 1 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdle preliminaries as well as field events such as the men’s weight throw and women’s high jump. The unseeded 800-meter run will wrap up competition for the day at 9:05 pm. Activities will pick back up on Saturday at 9 a.m. with a variety of field events in addition to running events beginning with the 60-meter hurdle semifinals at 9:30. The meet will conclude at 4:45 pm on Saturday with the 4x400-meter relay.

Both days of the meet will be webcasted live at RunnerSpace.com with a subscription. Live Results will be available at TandFLive.com. Results and recaps of ETSU’s performances can be found at the end of each day by logging onto ETSUBucs.com.

Last weekend in Blacksburg, Virginia, the Buccaneers’ solid showings were highlighted by a pair of event wins. On Friday, senior hurdler Dede Edgecombe (Spartanburg, S.C.) continued to dominate in the women’s 60 meter hurdles with a 8.43 time in the event preliminaries and a time of 8.48 to take the top spot among eight competitors in the event final. A day later, the squad of Angus Baldwin (Tumbi Umbi, Australia), A’Darrius Sanders (Knoxville, Tenn.), Thomas Miller (Lithonia, Ga.) and Matt Warriner (Maryville, Tenn.) took home the event title in the men’s distance medley relay with a time of 10:03.15.
