Bucs notch four top 10 finishes to wrap up their third meet of the season

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. (Jan. 30, 2016) – The ETSU Track & Field program finished up its weekend at the Camel City Classic Saturday with four top 10 performances Saturday. Leading the way for ETSU Saturday was junior Brett Squibbs (Rock Hill, S.C.) who finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.85m

ETSU fared best Saturday in the Medley races. Both the men’s and women’s teams finished in seventh place with the women finishing up with a time of 13:00.46 and the men tallying a time of 10:22.26.

The Buccaneers will return home next weekend for the Buccaneer Classic at the ETSU/MSHA Athletics Center on David E. Walker Track at Gentry Field. It will be the third and final home meet this season for ETSU.

Women’s 200m Dash: Marabeth Clark: 48th – 27.22

Women’s Distance Medley: Victoria Hutchens, Nicki Smith, Carolyn Hinch, Alexa Zimmerman: 7th – 13:00.46

Men’s Distance Medley: Simeon Roberts, Michael Williams, Matthew Warriner, James Garst: 7th – 10:22.26

Women’s 60m Dash: Keuturah Williams: 14th – 7.79

Men’s 60m Dash: Patrick Taylor: 17th – 6.99

Men’s Shot Put: Nathan Rivera: 35th – 11.31m

Women’s Shot Put: Tyesha Jones: 15th – 11.47m

Men’s Pole Vault: Brett Squibbs: 2nd – 4.85m

Women’s Pole Vault: Ashley Kessler: 9th – 3.36m
