JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 24, 2019) – ETSU track and field had two student athletes compete at the NCAA East Preliminaries on Friday evening in Jacksonville, Fla., attempting to punch their ticket to the NCAA Track and Field Championships.
Senior Kiana Davis (Ooltewah) represented the Bucs in the women’s 200m, while junior Noah Charles (Johnson City) ended the night in the men’s 3000m steeplechase at the regional on Friday.
Davis just missed her personal best in the women’s 200, finishing 41st with a time of 24.02. The time was the fourth best of her career. Meanwhile in the nightcap event, Charles did not finish. He ends the season holding on to his 8:57.60 time as a personal best set earlier this season.
The final student-athlete to compete for the Blue and Gold will sophomore Lindsey Stallworth (Knoxville) in the women’s 5000m, which is set for Saturday at 8:05 p.m.
