SPARTANBURG, S.C. (June 25, 2020) – It was another record-setting day for ETSU Athletics, this time thanks to the Southern Conference Honor Roll. The Bucs placed 262 student-athletes on the 2019-20 SoCon Honor Roll, blowing by the program’s previous record of 229 set in 2017-18. The SoCon office released the Honor Roll on Thursday morning.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (June 24, 2020) – A record-setting 62 ETSU student-athletes accounted for the Buccaneers’ 79 total selections on the Southern Conference Spring All-Academic list, as the league office announced it honors on Wednesday.

(March 17, 2020) -- By unanimous votes of the league’s Council of Presidents and directors of athletics, the Southern Conference is canceling all athletics-related activities for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year, including competition, championships, organized practices and meetings, due to the ongoing threat of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, Commissioner Jim Schaus announced Tuesday.
LEXINGTON, Va. (Mar. 1, 2020) – As the month leaped to March, the ETSU Track and Field Team also made a significant leap, led by the women who surged all the way to a second place finish at the Southern Conference Indoor Championships at the VMI Corps Physical Training Facility on Sunday.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Feb. 8, 2020) – After sending a small crew of athletes to the Camel City Invitational in Winston-Salem on Friday, two stayed for Saturday’s festivities in the final day of throws of the weekend event.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Feb. 7, 2020) – A small contingent of runners and throwers from the ETSU women’s track team completed the opening day of the Camel City Invitational on Friday in North Carolina, able to pick up a first-place finish and top marks against strong competition.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 6, 2019) -- bioPURE Services announced on Tuesday that East Tennessee State University Athletics recently became a bioPURE Certified TMathletic facility. This certification means that ETSU athletes will experience a higher level of clean and disinfection in high-use locations like the weight room and the various locker rooms throughout the athletic complex.
NEW ORLEANS (July 26, 2019) -- Junior Noah Charles (Johnson City, Tenn.) and sophomore Lindsey Stallworth (Knoxville, Tenn.) received U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) all-academic individual honors, as the committee announced its postseason awards earlier this week.
NEW ORLEANS (July 25, 2019) -- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its all-academic team honors earlier this week, and both the ETSU men’s and women’s teams earned the accolade.
