2006 Cross Country: Ran in five meets � finished 13^th at the Gardner-Webb Cross Country Duals with a time of 20:16 � was the fourth Buccaneer runner to cross the finish line in his final collegiate race at the NCAA South Regional with mark of 34:35.9.

2006 Outdoor: Earned All-Atlantic Sun honors with a second-place finish in the 1,500-meters at the conference championships with a personal-best time of 3:58.05 � won the 3,000-meters at the Milligan Open.

2006 Indoor: Captured his first career conference crown with a gold-medal finish in the 800-meters at the indoor A-Sun Championships � earned a second gold as a member of the championship distance medley relay team � anchored the 4x400 team to a second-place finish at the A-Sun Indoor meet � managed a first-place finish in the mile at the Appalachian Invitational.

2005 Cross Country:  Named to the all-conference team after his ninth place finish at the Atlantic Sun Championships � competed in all six events finishing a season-best fifth place at the Greensboro Invitational.

2005 Outdoor: Finished seventh in the 800 meters at the SoCon Outdoor Championships in 2:02.46� finished 24th in the 1,500 meters at the Raleigh Relays with a season-best time of 3:57.72.

2005 Indoor: Ran season-best 1:57.65 in the 800 meters at the Virginia Tech Invitational finishing 10th� posted two top-five 800-meter finishes, finishing third at the Appalachian Invitational (1:59.76) and fifth at the Clemson Tiger Invitaional (1:58.46)� competed in the mile run twice, finishing in the top-five both times, finishing fourth at the Niswonger (4:21.90) and fifth at the SoCon Indoor Championships (4:18.94).

2004 Cross Country: Hicks ran in three meets ... his best finish was 29th at the Virginia Tech Festival in the Fields (9/4) while his best time came with a 28:12.18 at the SoCon Championships (10/30).

2004 Outdoor: Ran a 1:55.41 in the 800 meters at the Charlotte 49er Classic ... at the SoCon Outdoor Championships, Hicks ran a 1:54.05 in the 800 preliminaries, then finished eighth with a time of 2:04.81 ... Hicks ran the 1,500m last season for the first time, and was impressive, finishing third at the Raleigh Relays, 10th at the SoCon Championships and won the VMI Dual Meet with a time of 3:59.84.

2004 Indoor: Earned all-conference honors for his third-place finish in the 800 meters at the Southern Conference meet.

Prep: Four-year letterwinner in cross country and two-year letterwinner in track and field ...attended McMinn County High School where he was coached by Tim Smith and Rex Phelps ... placed fourth in the state in cross country and fourth in the state in the 800 meters ... named all-state in 2002 and all-region in 2001 and 2002 in cross country ... member of the 2002 state championship cross country team ... member of the 2003 state champion 4 x 800 meter relay team ... holds his high school�s record in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56 ... earned all-state honors in the 4 x 800 meter relay in 2002 and 2003 ... also earned all-state honors in 2003 in the 800 meters and 4 x 400 meter relay.
