JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 8, 2006) - The Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network and Kingsport-based technology company Intellithought have teamed up this 2006-07 season to bring ETSU fans an entirely new way to watch Buccaneer athletics.

Through new advancements in live video streaming technology, ETSUBucs.com will now be able to provide an extensive schedule of ETSU athletic events live on the Internet. Not only will home events for volleyball, soccer, women's basketball, softball and baseball be broadcast live at ETSUBucs.com, but all men's basketball home games - as well as several road contests - will be aired on the site, allowing fans to keep up with Buc basketball even when they are away from Johnson City.

"We are extremely pleased and excited to be able to offer this new service on ETSUBucs.com," said Michael White, Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations. "Now fans in the Tri-Cities area will not be the only ones watching our teams play, as alumni and families of student-athletes from around the country will be able to view our games from the comfort of their homes."

The first events to be streamed on ETSUBucs.com will be this weekend's volleyball matches in the Lady Bucs Volleyball Classic presented by Best Western. Matches will begin Friday at 4:30. To order the service, fans simply need to visit ETSUBucs.com and click their preferred subscription on the video pop-up window, or click on the video streaming advertisement located in the far right column of the main page. There are three subscription levels for the service: all-inclusive, fulltime season subscriptions for $49.99, part-time season subscriptions for $29.99 (does not include men's and women's basketball), and daily subscriptions for $4.99 (provides 24 hours of all video streaming that day).

For more information on the service, fans are encouraged to contact White by e-mailing to [email protected] or call 423-439-4220.
