Thursday, October 23, 2008

(October 23, 2008) - Members of the ETSU baseball, women's basketball, softball and track teams all took part in giving back to the community, Thursday at the 2008 Senior Expo, in Johnson City.

The one-day event was held at the Johnson City Mall, where members of each squad participated as recruiting ambassadors for guests in attendance.

"Today approximately 30 of our student-athletes served as ambassadors," said Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator Barbie Breedlove. "Our coaches and student-athletes are amazing in terms of their commitment to the community and with their time of giving back. We are very proud of all our coaches, student-athletes and staff members that truly embrace the ideals of selflessness and giving back."

For the past three years, ETSU's Athletic Department has had 100 percent participation in community services events and after today's event that trend looks to continue.
