CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 24, 2023) – Ending their final road conference match of the year Friday afternoon, the ETSU men’s tennis team stumbled, 4-3, against Chattanooga.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 23, 2023) – Ending its conference road matches, the ETSU men’s tennis team will travel to Chattanooga for a matchup Friday morning at 11 a.m. Returning to conference play, the Bucs will play their fifth conference match of the season and look to win back-to-back matches at the UTC Tennis Center.
BRISTOL, Tenn. (March 19, 2023) – Coming off a conference loss Thursday at Mercer, the ETSU men’s tennis team bounced back into the win column, as the Buccaneers defeated New Mexico 5-2 on Sunday at the Bristol Sportsplex in Bristol, Tenn.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 18, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team returns home for a Sunday matchup with New Mexico at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex. With doubles getting started at 1 p.m., the Bucs will face their second Mountain West opponent of they year.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Feb. 3, 2023) – On Friday night, the ETSU men’s tennis team played to a 6-1 loss against Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. With the loss, the Bucs dropped their six consecutive contest and had their third loss to a Power 5 program this season.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Feb. 2, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team will travel for the fourth consecutive week as they take on Arkansas in Fayetteville at 5 p.m. on Friday evening. Coming off a weekend with two matches, the Bucs will look to earn their first win of the campaign this week.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 28, 2023) – Over the weekend, the ETSU men’s tennis program took on Abilene Christian University in a back-and-forth match that finished 3-4 on Friday and 6-1 contest on Saturday evening.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 26, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team will travel 1,432 miles to Colorado Springs for their weekend matchups with Abilene Christian University on Friday at noon and Air Force on Saturday evening at 5 p.m.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 23, 2023) -- At a press conference earlier today, East Tennessee State University President Dr. Brian Noland named Dr. Richard “Doc” Sander as the university’s permanent director of Intercollegiate Athletics. Sander had been serving as interim athletic director (AD) since August of last year.
CLEMSON, S.C. (Jan. 21, 2023) – On Saturday afternoon the ETSU men’s tennis team made the trip to take on Clemson, S.C. where they lost the third consecutive match of the season. Dropping the contest, 0-7, the Bucs earned their lone victory in a 6-2 doubles match.
CLEMSON, S.C. (Jan. 20, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team will look to end its two-game skid on Saturday as they travel to Clemson, S.C. to take on ACC opponent Clemson at noon. Playing in their third match of the young season, the Bucs make the trip to Clemson for the second straight year with hopes for a different result.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (Jan. 16, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team wrapped up the weekend with a 0-4 neutral site loss against South Alabama on Sunday afternoon in Starkville.
STARKVILLE, Miss. (Jan. 14, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team opened the 2023 season to with a 1-6 loss at Mississippi State on Saturday afternoon in Starkville. The Bucs’ point was secured by Thiago Pernas (Buenos Aires, Argentina) as he won his No. 1 singles match in three sets.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 13, 2023) – The ETSU men’s tennis team will commence its 2023 campaign on Saturday when they take on Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss. at 11 a.m. The Bucs will spend the weekend in Starkville as they face off against South Alabama on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

BIRMINGHMAM, Ala. (Nov. 7, 2022) – Over the weekend the ETSU men’s tennis team finished its fall competitions while earning 12 total wins at the CCB Collegiate Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Nov. 3, 2022) – The ETSU men’s tennis team will compete in the CBB Collegiate Invitational in Birmingham, Ala. this weekend. Hosted by The Country Club of Birmingham, University of Alabama and Samford University, the competition will get started at 9 a.m. on Friday morning and conclude on Sunday afternoon.
BLACKSBURG, Va. (Oct. 31, 2022) – Over the weekend, the ETSU men’s tennis team competed in Virginia Tech’s Halloween Clash in Blacksburg, Va. The team was represented by five Bucs and earned a total of six wins throughout the weekend.

The competition will begin on Friday and runs through Sunday. Held in the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center, the Bucs look to gain momentum heading into the final fall competitions.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 17, 2022) – Over the weekend, the ETSU men’s tennis team competed in the Ohio Valley Regional Championships in Louisville, Ky. The team sent eight players to compete and earned a total of nine single wins and three doubles victories.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 12, 2022) – The ETSU men’s tennis team will take part in the 2022 ITA Ohio Valley Regionals Championship in Louisville, Ky., marking the second competition of the 2022-23 season for the Bucs. The tournament will be played at both Louisville’s Bass-Rudd Tennis Center and Bellarmine’s Eddie-Weber Tennis Complex beginning on Thursday and concluding on Monday.
CARY, N.C. (Sept. 18, 2022) – The ETSU men’s tennis team concluded play in the 2022 Duke Bonk Invitational, which was held this weekend in Cary, N.C. The Bucs sent four players to the season-opening tournament and finished with three combined victories – all coming in singles play.
CARY, N.C. (Sept. 15, 2022) – The ETSU men’s tennis team is set to compete in the 2022 Duke James Bonk Invitational in Cary, N.C., marking the 2022-23 season debut for the Bucs. The tournament will be played at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C. beginning on Friday and concluding on Sunday.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (July 27, 2022) -- A day after placing 66 student-athletes on the Southern Conference Spring All-Academic Team, ETSU landed 239 student-athletes on the SoCon Honor Roll, as the league office announced the full listing of academic honors on Wednesday.
